ABUJA – The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has urged Christians to embrace complete obedience to God, declaring that divine intervention can transform destinies “in one night” if believers align fully with God’s will.

Pastor Adeboye, fondly called Daddy GO, made this known during the 2025 Cross Over Service held at the Redemption City of God, Lagos – Ibadan express way.

Preaching from Revelation 1:8, where God declares Himself as the Alpha and the Omega. He stressed that God does not operate by calendar years but by days, noting that Scripture admonishes believers to “number our days” rather than years.
Quoting Hebrews 13:8, the revered cleric said Jesus Christ remains the same “yesterday, today and forever,” emphasizing that God knows the beginning and the end of every human life. Referencing Jeremiah 1:4–5, he noted that God knew His people even before they were formed in the womb, adding that all provisions required for life are already made before anyone comes into the world.

Drawing from Genesis chapters 1 and 2, Pastor Adeboye explained that God made provisions for mankind before creating man, describing God as the “all-sufficient” and “more-than-enough” God. He also cited Jeremiah 29:11 to reaffirm that God has thoughts of peace and a good end for His people.
The preacher warned believers against spiritual complacency, saying God can intervene decisively when obedience is complete. “For how long do you think you can deceive God by pretending that your obedience is complete?” he asked, adding that God is willing to rearrange lives and circumstances so that individuals can align with divine purpose.

Using biblical examples, including Abraham and Sarah in Genesis 17, Pastor Adeboye said God can step into a situation and change a person’s story instantly. He recalled how God changed names and destinies, noting that “it is not too late” for anyone to experience divine turnaround.

He also referenced God’s dealings with Joshua, stressing that believers are sometimes not where they are supposed to be spiritually or destiny-wise, but that God can reposition them if they yield to Him.

Looking ahead, Pastor Adeboye reiterated a prophetic warning that the year 2025 would be remarkable, marked by significant events such as floods and fire outbreaks, urging believers to remain spiritually alert.

The sermon ended with a series of reflective prayers, as worshippers were encouraged to ask God to reveal missed opportunities in 2025, the reasons behind them, and the lessons to be learnt. He urged believers to pray for grace to seize every opportunity in 2026, to remove any “Jonah” that could hinder progress, and to become true children of God aligned with His purpose.

Pastor Adeboye concluded by assuring worshippers that God is willing to help them become all that He has ordained them to be, if they are ready to walk in sincere and complete obedience.
