Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, have congratulated the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, on his 72nd birthday.
Atiku and Saraki, in separate messages posted on their X handles on Sunday, praised the cleric for his contributions to education, mentorship, philanthropy and human development.
Atiku described Oyedepo’s contributions to society as worthy of celebration while commending his role in building institutions.
“I join family, friends, and well-wishers to congratulate Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide and Senior Pastor of Faith Tabernacle, Ota, Ogun State, as he marks his 72nd birthday,” Atiku said.
He added, “I sincerely honour his legacy as Chancellor of Covenant University and Landmark University, and his far-reaching contributions to education, mentorship, philanthropy, and human development.”
The African Democratic Congress 2027 presidential candidate said Oyedepo’s “dedication to raising people and building institutions is worthy of celebration,” and wished him good health and strength.
Saraki also described Oyedepo as a man who had consistently stood by his convictions.
“I have always admired the courage with which the Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, stands by his convictions. He says what he believes, even when it isn’t the easiest thing to say, and through his ministry, so many people have found their faith,” Saraki said.
As Oyedepo turned 72, Saraki prayed for his continued good health and many more years of service.
“As he turns 72 today, I pray that God continues to keep him in good health and grants him many more years of service to Nigerians and humanity. Happy birthday, Sir,” he said.
