Care II – During Covid-19, after my daughter was born, my mother would stay on the phone while I bathed her, oiled her hair, and rocked her to sleep.Some days, she stayed until I slept too.
When I made the image Care (on 2nd slide) I dreamt of the day we would include my mother as the work always felt like it needed one more presence. It needed my Her.
Care II is dedicated to her and for the first time, I am truly smiling in the frame. So much joy to finally make this. 🤍
