A philanthropist, Emmanuel Fayose, has said that his passion to alleviate the plight of the underprivileged, especially in Ekiti State, is behind the set up of his Otunba Emmanuel Ajisafe Fayose Foundation, which will be formally launched on November 3, 2024.
In a statement sent to Society Plus, Fayose stated that he wants to transform Afao Ekiti into a โhub of hope and generosityโ by offering free food, cash incentives, and scholarships for students from secondary school to university.
The statement added, โResidents from Afao, Are, Iworoko, Orun, and Igbemo Ekiti are gearing up for a day of celebration, with royal fathers, community leaders and local stakeholders expected to join in the festivities. Fayoseโs mission is clearโ to provide much-needed support to those facing economic hardships and to empower the people of Ekiti.
โThis is just the beginning. I know the struggles many of you face daily. I am committed to making a difference and helping our community rise above its challenges.
โWith the involvement of local clergymen, business figures and an array of community representatives, this initiative not only aims to distribute aid but also to strengthen communal bonds and inspire a collective effort towards a brighter future.โ
