The palace of the Olubadan of Ibadanland has released the movement schedule for the 2026 Oloolu Masquerade Festival, detailing the communities the masquerade is expected to visit between Tuesday, July 28 and Thursday, July 30.

According to the itinerary shared by the palace, signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Olubadan, Chief Ayoade Olugbemigbe, on July 22, the Oloolu Masquerade will be out daily from 4:00 p.m. until dawn, moving through designated routes across Ibadan as part of the annual festival.

The schedule is as follows:

The movement schedule forms part of activities for the 2026 Oloolu Masquerade Festival, which began on Monday, July 27, with Aisun Odun Oloolu (festival eve).

Earlier, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, urged residents and participants to ensure a peaceful celebration in line with the traditions of Ibadanland. The monarch reiterated that women are forbidden from seeing the Oloolu Masquerade in accordance with Ibadan tradition.

He also warned members of the public against taking photographs or recording videos of the masquerade during the festival.

Oba Ladoja further cautioned the Oloolu Masquerade, other Egungun leaders and their followers, adherents of various religions and members of the public against any act capable of causing unrest or a breakdown of law and order during the celebration.
