Social media personality Amodu Elizabeth Aminata, popularly known as Jarvis, has sought forgiveness from the Oba of Benin, Ewuare II, over the controversy involving her partner, Habeeb Hamzat Adelaja, popularly called Peller.
Her appeal comes after the backlash surrounding an unauthorised visit to the Benin Royal Palace.
Jarvis made the appeal during a live session on social media, where she showed regret over the incident and asked for mercy.
She expressed concern about how the situation could affect her personal life, especially her plans to get married, stating that she does not want the issue to create problems for her future.
She said: “I don’t want to be single to stupor… please forgive him. I want to get married; I want my bride price paid without fear. Please have mercy on us.”
The development follows actions taken by the Benin Traditional Council, which had earlier summoned Peller over the incident that occurred on March 6, 2026.
The council described the visit as a violation of palace rules and tradition.
As part of the fallout, the council had already disciplined some individuals within the palace.
A chief was suspended, while other members of the royal household faced sanctions for their roles in allowing unauthorised access.
Peller has also been directed to appear before the council and submit a formal written apology over the incident, as authorities continue to address the matter and maintain order within the palace.
