The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency has confirmed the arrest of the suspect accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in Alakuko, Lagos.
In a statement released on X.com on Friday, the agency disclosed that it is collaborating with the Lagos State Police Command to investigate the case.
The agency added that the survivor is receiving comprehensive medical care, while the suspect is currently in police custody.
The statement said, “We appreciate everyone who brought the tragic incident of child sexual abuse in Alakuko, Lagos to our attention.
“We are working with the #LagosPoliceNG in investigating the case.
“The survivor is receiving comprehensive medical care, and the suspect is currently in police custody. More details to follow”
