Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has expressed profound gratitude to the people of Katsina State for their overwhelming support and participation during his historic nine-day statewide tour.

The Governor thanked residents for trooping out en masse to receive him, engage in constructive dialogue, and demonstrate their commitment to the state’s development.

Radda described the tour as a remarkable success that enabled his administration to capture community needs firsthand, launch critical infrastructure projects, and witness empowerment initiatives led by local government chairmen in their respective councils.

“I am deeply moved by the warmth, hospitality, and genuine enthusiasm displayed by our people throughout this tour. Every community showed that Katsina is united in the pursuit of Building Your Future,” the Governor stated.

He commended traditional rulers for their invaluable support, guidance, and commitment to ensuring peaceful and productive engagements in their domains.

“Our traditional rulers remain pillars of stability and unity. Their cooperation during this tour was instrumental to its success, and I am profoundly grateful,” Radda added.

Governor Radda particularly commended the state Community Watch Corps and other security agencies for their relentless efforts in ensuring a safer Katsina state, adding that the C-WATCH presence across the local government speaks volumes of their hardworking spirit and commitment to protecting lives and properties.

He also appreciated the stakeholders, party executives, and even opposition parties for believing in his administration’s “Building Your Future” agenda.

“Development transcends political affiliations. I am encouraged by the support from across party lines, which shows that when it comes to Katsina’s progress, we are all one family,” he said.

The Governor highlighted the empowerment programmes executed by local government chairmen as clear evidence that local government autonomy is working effectively in Katsina State.

“What we witnessed across the 34 councils—chairmen distributing motorcycles, grinding machines, fertilizers, livestock, and cash support to their people—proves that autonomy is not just a policy; it is a reality delivering tangible results at the grassroots,” the governor stated.

He assured residents that feedback, requests, and observations gathered during the tour would shape government policies and programmes in the coming months.

Governor Radda pledged that his administration would continue to prioritize grassroots development, inclusive governance, and equitable distribution of projects across all senatorial zones and local governments.
