Fellow APC members and stakeholders,
We’re at a crossroads in Osun State, and the decisions we make now will have far-reaching consequences. As we approach the 2026 election, we need to ask ourselves: what do we want for our party, our state, and our country? Unity is the key to success.
We need to put aside our differences and come together behind a strong candidate who can win. We’ve seen how a popular candidate can bring in wins for the party, and that’s what we need in Osun State. Let’s focus on what works for the party and the people, rather than individual grievances or score-settling.
Victory in 2026 is vital, not just for APC, but for our presidential election prospects. A win in Osun State will give us momentum and confidence going into the national elections. On the other hand, failure will not only hurt our party’s chances but also have a ripple effect on our presidential election prospects. That’s why we need to get it right in all senatorial districts of Osun State, and merit should be our priority. We need a candidate who can win, and we need to support that candidate wholeheartedly.
As grassroots members, we have a crucial role to play in shaping the party’s direction. We can make a difference by choosing a candidate who embodies our values and has what it takes to win. As someone who also has eyes on an elective post, I know how important it is to get this right, else the bandwagon would affect every other election. I believe that if we unite behind a strong candidate, we cannot only win but also ensure success in all senatorial seats and House of Representatives, and return many progressive personalities to the national assembly.
I want to commend all our gladiators – the aspirants and candidates – for their dedication and commitment to our great party, APC. They are eminently qualified and worthy of consideration for the various positions they are seeking. I believe that each of them has something unique to offer, and it’s up to us to choose the best fit for our party and our people.
In light of this, I humbly call on our National leader to provide guidance and direction to our party in Osun State. It’s essential that we get this right, and the earlier we receive guidance, the better. We don’t want to wait until things become roforofo (chaotic) and we’re faced with a crisis that makes it difficult to make recommendations or take decisions. Let’s work together, under the guidance of our National leader, to ensure that we emerge victorious in 2026 and beyond.
Post-primary reconciliation is essential, not just for the party, but also for the people of Osun State and Nigeria. When we come together, heal our wounds, and move forward, we show our people that we’re committed to their welfare.
I have absolute confidence in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chief Bisi Akande, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, and the state party Chairman Sooko Tajudeen Eniafe Lawal, and Engineer Akinwumi, the Chairman of Agba Osun caucus. I believe that with their guidance and direction, we can overcome any challenges and achieve great success for our party and our state.
