Chairman of Flow FM 92.7 and the Stefolga Group, Araba Olufemi Sanni, has congratulated Prince Sunday Fagbemi on his re-election as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, describing the outcome as a consolidation of party authority ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Fagbemi was returned unopposed alongside other members of the state executive committee at the APC congress held on Tuesday in Ilorin, an exercise party stakeholders said reflected internal alignment and acceptance of the existing leadership structure.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Sanni said the consensus-driven congress had effectively settled lingering leadership questions within the party, creating room for early political mobilisation and strategic planning ahead of the next electoral cycle.
“The unopposed return of Prince Sunday Fagbemi provides the APC in Kwara with organisational stability and clarity of leadership, which are critical as the party begins preparations for 2027,” Sanni said.

He noted that the re-election strengthens the party’s command structure at a time when discipline, loyalty, and coordination would be required to sustain APC’s electoral dominance in the state.
Sanni also attributed the outcome of the congress to the leadership style of Kwara State Governor and APC leader, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, saying the governor’s emphasis on cohesion and party supremacy has helped minimise internal friction.

According to him, the alignment between the state party leadership and the national leadership under Bola Ahmed Tinubu places the Kwara APC in a strong position to prosecute future elections from a position of unity.

He urged party members across wards and local governments to close ranks behind the state leadership, warning that internal divisions could undermine the party’s chances in 2027.

Sanni added that the focus of the party under Fagbemi’s renewed mandate should be on strengthening grassroots structures, enforcing party discipline, and ensuring that the APC remains the dominant political force in Kwara State.
