British actress Ella Purnell has recently become something of a staple on TV thanks to standout performances in Fallout, Yellowjackets and Arcane. Now, she’s set to show yet another side of her talent in the pitch-black comedic drama Sweetpea, coming soon to Starz.
Adapted from C.J. Skuse’s cult-favorite novels, Sweetpea follows Purnell as Rhiannon Lewis, a timid office receptionist fed up with being constantly overlooked and mistreated.
A series of personal tragedies brings matters to a head, with Rhiannon finding her voice by unexpectedly descending into a dangerously satisfying world of murder — gaining newfound power while struggling to keep her grisly crimes hidden from the police.
Alongside Purnell, the six-episode miniseries cast includes Nicôle Lecky, Jon Pointing and Ted Lasso star Jeremy Swift.

Sweetpea episode release dates
Sweetpea premieres in the US and the UK on Thursday, Oct. 10. If you have the Starz app, you can stream the debut episode in the US at midnight on Thursday. Stateside viewers who prefer to watch on the Starz cable channel can catch the show on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET/PT in the US. After the premiere, viewers can catch new episodes weekly, as the series moves to its regular Friday slot for the remaining five episodes
For viewers in the UK, all the episodes will be available to binge watch from Oct. 10 on Sky Atlantic and NOW.

How to watch Sweetpea in Canada
Sweetpea debuts Friday, Oct. 11 at 10 p.m. ET/PT in Canada, and will be available to stream on demand on Starz via Crave. The show will also be available to watch on the Starz 1 linear channel every Friday at 10 p.m. ET.
