President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Pastor Tunde Bakare, the founder of the Citadel Global Community Church, on his 70th birthday.
In a statement released on Monday by his Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised Bakare for his service to the nation, describing him as โone of Nigeriaโs most influential voices.โ
The statement partly read: โPastor Bakare, a distinguished lawyer, pastor, leader, author, advocate for good governance, and politician, has made significant contributions to Nigerian society.
โHe founded The Latter Rain Assembly, now known as The Citadel Global Community Church (CGCC).
โOn this occasion, the President joins Pastor Bakareโs family, friends, and the Christian community in celebrating his profound impact as a religious leader and gadfly.โ
Tinubu also commended Bakareโs patriotic efforts in advocating for a better Nigeria, noting his leadership within the Save Nigeria Group.
โAs a co-convener of the Save Nigeria Group (SNG), he was instrumental in leading civil demonstrations during critical periods in our nationโs history.
โThe President recognises Bakareโs unwavering faith and relentless dedication to advancing vital causes for the betterment of society. He describes Pastor Bakare as one of Nigeriaโs most influential voices,โ the statement added.
On this milestone, the President extended his best wishes for Bakareโs health and long life.
โPresident Tinubu wishes him robust health and many more years of service in the Lordโs vineyard and in advancing our beloved nation,โ the statement concluded.
