LAGOS – ‘Love Lockdown,’ the latest Nigerian film would is set to captivate audiences with a riveting romantic drama that explores the complexities of love, loyalty and the power of timing.

A statement by Trino Motion Pictures, the producer of the film, said that the film would be released in cinemas nationwide on February 7, 2025.

According to the statement, ‘Love Lockdown,’ follows the story of Yemi, a successful man on the verge of marriage, whose carefully crafted life was thrown into chaos when a COVID-19 lockdown trapped him with an old flame.

Yemi, with his fiancée out of town, had a chance encounter and reignited unresolved emotion, which forced him to grapple with the meaning of commitment and the choices that define human passions.

Set against the backdrop of the global pandemic, this emotionally charged film explores themes of trust, compatibility, and the fragility of relationships, the statement said.

At its heart lies the central questions of ‘do we marry the one who feels right for us? Or the one who is ready when we are?

Produced by award, Uche Okocha and directed by Lyndsey Efejuku, the film features stellar performances from Andrew Yaw Bunting, Detola Jones, and Yewande Osamein, who delivered a layered narrative that balances raw emotional intensity with a relatable premise.

The statement added: “The film promises to leave audiences reflecting on the intricacies of love long after the credits roll. It is a legacy of excellence in storytelling.”
