ABUJA – The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyisom Wike, asserts that the Abuja Industrial Park, currently under development by Zeberced Group, is poised to generate 40,000 employment opportunities and bolster Nigeria’s economy upon reaching full operational capacity.
During a recent site visit to the park situated at the Idu Industrial Zone in Abuja, Wike expressed his profound enthusiasm at the advancements witnessed.
He vowed to personally apprise President Bola Tinubu of the remarkable progress observed at the site.
Characterising the project as truly remarkable, Wike conveyed his optimism regarding its potential to stimulate the nation’s economy and provide job opportunities for the youth in FCT.
“In all my years, I have never witnessed such a grand endeavor within the country. This is a groundbreaking sight for me,”he lauded.
“While discussions about industrial parks have circulated, the sheer magnitude of what I have witnessed here is truly exceptional, and we commend the efforts of the developers.”
Furthermore, Wike highlighted that the project has received approval to function as a Free Zone, which is expected to attract numerous businesses due to the provision of consistent power supply.
He praised the company for its steadfast commitment to completing the project and its initiative to widen the access road to the park.
Assuring unwavering support from the FCT Administration, he emphasised the importance of expediting the road project’s completion.
Drawing from the insights shared by the company’s Managing Director, Mr. Adil Kurt, Wike reiterated that the industrial park is anticipated to generate no less than 40,000 direct job opportunities, marking a significant milestone in economic advancement.
