Some clubs in the Lions Clubs International District 404B2 Nigeria on Sunday organized an awareness and advocacy campaign for residents of the Ogudu community in Lagos State, as part of the events to commemorate the 2022 World Diabetes Day.
The theme of the event which was โKnow your status and live a healthy life,โ took place on Saturday, 19 November 2022 at Ogudu Recreation Park and Garden, Ogudu Roundabout, Opposite Boys Stout of Nigeria Compound, Lagos State.
The event was organized by Ikeja Unique Lions Club in association with the Lagos Apex Lions Club, Lagos Exquisite Lions Club, Lagos Eminent Lions Club and Ikeja Platinum Lions Club.
Oncall Plus, a company that distributes and sells medical equipment also partners on diabetes awareness and Saladmaster was another partner at the event.

Speaking at the event, Lion Abiodun Wilkey, president of Ikeja Unique Lions Club, said that the event was organized to give diabetes education to the Ogudu community and its environs.
He described diabetes as a silent killer and common in Nigeria.
