No fewer than 30 persons died in a road accident along Ore/Lagos Expressway in Ondo State.
The incident confirmed by the state Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC),Samuel Ibitoye happened at Onipetesi along the highway in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
He disclosed that the incident occurred on Saturday when two commercial buses collided and ignited.
According to Ibitoye, 28 among the occupants of the vehicles burnt to death beyond recognition on the spot while another two died on the way to the hospital.
But he said another two persons survived the accident and are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
Giving reasons for the accident, the FRSC commander disclosed that the preliminary investigation of the commission revealed that the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the accident drove against the traffic.
