The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway’s Long Bridge was the scene of a traffic tragedy that claimed the lives of two people, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps’ Ogun Sector Command.
The collision, which occurred on Monday at approximately 5:38 a.m., involved a MAN diesel truck registered as AJL715XA and a Mazda bus with registration number EDE217XB.
Three adult males were engaged in the collision, according to Florence Okpe, the command’s spokesman, and one person was hurt.
Okpe identified exhaustion and a blockage in the route as the crash’s causes.
She reported that the deceased people’s bodies were placed in the morgue at Real Divine Hospital in Ibafo, while the injured was sent to Hopeland Hospital Warewa.
She said, “The number of people involved was three, all male adults. One person sustained injuries while the other two were killed in the crash.”
“The suspected causes of the crash were road obstruction and fatigue.”
In addition to offering condolences to the families of the departed, Sector Commander Akinwumi Fasakin counseled drivers to maintain constant alertness and to take frequent pauses to prevent weariness and sleepiness while operating a motor vehicle.
