The controversy erupted at the 2024 Summer Jam Festival in Germany, where Burna Boy and Steel Pulse were among the top-billed performers, sharing the stage with other music industry giants.
David Hinds alleged that Burna Boy and his team forcibly took over Steel Pulse’s dressing room, pushing them out to make way for themselves, which led to a fiery confrontation between the two groups.
As Burna Boy performed at the Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay, Jamaica, he took a moment to address the recent controversy, speaking directly to the crowd amidst the lively music and energetic atmosphere.
From his elevated position on stage, Burna Boy boldly proclaimed that those perpetuating rumors of his disrespect were simply seeking to draw attention to themselves.
He stood firm, stating that he doesn’t go out of his way to show disrespect, but he also emphasized that he won’t back down if faced with disrespect, suggesting that those who receive it have probably done something to deserve it.
