The Christian Association of Nigeria has extended heartfelt wishes to the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on the occasion of the 64th birthday celebration.
In a congratulatory message on Sunday, CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, prayed for the continued health, happiness and success of the First Lady, describing her as a leader and advocate for the people of Nigeria.
Okoh said Mrs Tinubu had shown a strong commitment to social causes in areas of agriculture, women empowerment, healthcare and philanthropy while calling on leaders in the country to address issues of rising inflation, insecurity, and the struggle for basic necessities among Nigerians.
The message reads, โThe national leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) joins in celebrating the birthday of Nigeriaโs First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu. On this special occasion, we extend our heartfelt wishes for her continued health, happiness, and success in her role as a leader and advocate for the people of Nigeriaโ.
โAs First Lady, Mrs. Tinubu has shown a strong commitment to various social causes, particularly in agriculture, womenโs empowerment, education, healthcare, and philanthropy. Her efforts in these critical sectors are commendable and reflect a deep understanding of the challenges facing our nationโ.
โHowever, it is crucial to acknowledge the pressing issues many Nigerians face today. Rising inflation, insecurity, and the ongoing struggle for basic necessities have significantly impacted countless families. As we celebrate the First Ladyโs contributions, we must also call for renewed dedication from all levels of government to address these pressing concerns.
โWe encourage the First Lady to continue her advocacy for the marginalized and voiceless, ensuring their needs and aspirations are prioritized in national discourse. We hope her influence can help catalyze positive change, fostering a Nigeria where every citizen can thrive in peace and prosperity.โ
The CAN President also enjoined citizens to reflect on their collective responsibility to uplift one another and work towards a brighter future for all Nigerians.
