LAGOS – Emirates Airlines, has officially unveiled its first Airbus A350-900 aircraft to join its fleet of airplanes.

A statement by the media con­sultant to the airline in Nigeria, said that the aircraft with capaci­ty for 312 passengers was unveiled recently at an exclusive event in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The event, led by Sir Tim Clark, President Emirates Airline in the presence of His Excellency Abdul­la Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minis­ter of Economy, was attended by dignitaries, aerospace partners, government officials, members of the media, as well as aviation enthusiasts.

The statement hinted that guests were able to experience the aircraft’s interiors, equipped with its next generation products and latest technologies.

The aircraft is divided into three cabin classes; 32 next-gener­ation business class lie-flat seats, 21 premium economy seats and 259 pitched economy class seats.

The statement said that the lat­est onboard products reflected the airline’s commitment to deliver­ing a premium passenger experi­ence while optimising operational efficiency.

The Emirates A350 is the first new aircraft type to join Emirates’ fleet since 2008.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chief Ex­ecutive, EmiratesAirline& Group, while commenting on the acqui­sition, described the event as an exciting milestone for Emirates.

According to him, the air­craft sets the stage for Emirates to spread its wings farther by offering added range, efficiency and flexibility to our network, enabling us to meet customer de­mand in new markets and unlock newopportunitiesinthecitiesthat we serve.

He added: “Onboard, our up­dated interiors and seating con­figurations will help us deliver a more elevated and comfortable experience to travellers across every cabin class.
