The Tudun Moriki village in the Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State has been hit by suspected bandits, as four farmers have been abducted.
The incident, according to security expert and counterinsurgency expert, Zagazola Makama on his verified X account (Twitter), occurred around 11:30 am on Sunday, 14 September, 202,5 at the outskirts of Tudun Moriki.
The bandits, according to reports, came and kidnapped the farmers at the point of gun and whisked them away to an unknown destination.
One of the victims was identified as Salisu Ado, while the others have not been named at press time.
Confirming the incident, the Zamfara State Police Command said it had received the report from Moriki Division and had commenced efforts with other security agencies to rescue the abducted persons.
Zamfara State has become the bedrock of criminality as bandits, terrorist and other non-state actors have been carrying out their nefarious activities with impunity.
