FROM THE VAULT: The other day it hit me: I have been doing this a while. People often ask me about my favorite homes in LA, and over the years of showing you some of the most special homes in Los Angeles, I of course have my favorites.
Itโs been almost 2 years and I am STILL not over this living room by one of my favorite architects, Paul Revere Williams. Beyond the undeniable specialness that you see in every one of his homes, Williams is a fascinating and inspiring architect: he was the first licensed African-American architect west of the Mississippi, and went on to build some of the most legendary homes in LA for the likes of Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball, Barron Hilton, Howard Hughes, and countless others. Seeing one of his homes with most of the original details in tact is always a treat, especially when itโs accompanied by an ample sized lot, pool, and guest house. Sold in 2023, but I still think of it often.
