German football legend, Andreas Brehme, who scored from the penalty spot to seal victory for West Germany against Argentina in the 1990 World Cup final, is dead.
He died at the age of 63 overnight into Tuesday.
Brehmeโs death was announced on Wednesday by his former club, FC Bayern Mรผnchen.
The club announced the late footballerโs death via its X handle.
