Anthony Joshua currently has no confirmed opponent, and his promoter Eddie Hearn has outlined the conditions under which a fight between Joshua and Deontay Wilder could happen.
Speaking to Ring magazine, the British promoter explained that the first step is to wait for the outcome of the Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker fight, scheduled for February 22. However, he emphasised that this fight is not their current priority.
โTo be honest, weโre not targeting this fight right now because weโre only looking at matches with Tyson Fury or the winner of the Dubois-Parker fight. But if neither of those options materialises, weโll fight Wilder, Bakole, the winner of Kabayel-Zhilei, or Dillian Whyte,โ Hearn stated.
He added that Turki Al-Sheikh is also open to the idea of a Joshua-Wilder fight. Al-Sheikh reportedly told Hearn that if Fury retires or for some reason they donโt get the Dubois-Parker winner, heโs willing to consider the matchup.
Anthony Joshua lost his last fight to Daniel Dubois and is now searching for a potential opponent. Turki Al-Sheikh has shared details about who the British boxer might face next.
