LAGOS – Mövenpick Hotel from Kenya, Memorial Healthcare; Türkiye and Costa Cruises from Italy would debut at the 20th Akwaaba Travel Market and tourism exhibition, slated for September 22 through 24, 2024 in Lagos.
A statement by Mr. Ikechi Uko, the Convener of Akwaaba, said that apart from the trio, the three days event would also welcome several high-profile newcomers.
Mövenpick Hotel & Residence Nairobi, renowned for its upscale hospitality and prime location in the heart of Kenya’s capital, would be showcasing its luxurious offerings to a diverse audience at Akwaaba.
The hotel, which embodies African-themed design and world-class service, the statement hinted was eager to connect with key stakeholders in the African travel market.
Also, Uko explained that Memorial Healthcare Group, a private healthcare organisation based in Turkey is known for its cutting-edge medical services and state-of-the-art facilities.
He said the company’s participation at Akwaaba underscored the growing intersection of healthcare and tourism.
The group’s presence at the event highlighted the increasing importance of medical tourism within Africa, offering new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
Also, Costa Cruises, the only cruise line flying the Italian flag and a member of the Carnival Corporation & plc Group, would also be making its first appearance at the Akwaaba Travel Market.
With a legacy of 75 years, Costa Cruises is celebrated for its Italian style and hospitality, offering unparalleled cruise experiences across the globe.
Their participation, Uko said marked a significant step in expanding their footprint within the African market, bringing world-class cruising experiences to potential travelers from the region.
