Bishop of Sokoto Catholic Diocese, Mathew Hassan Kukah, has been slated to deliver the second yearly lecture organised by Kleen Foundation in honour and memory of the late founder, Mr Innocent Chukwuemeka Chukwuma.
The lecture is titled: โThe Power of One: Dreams & Nightmares: Thoughts on Innocent Chukwuma.โ
Chukwuma died on April 3, and this year marks the third anniversary of his passing.
โToday and every day, we remember Innocent for his selflessness, simplicity, and humaneness.
โIn commemoration of the third anniversary, CLEEN Foundation, in collaboration with the Innocent Chukwuemeka Chukwuma Empowerment Foundation (ICCEF), is delighted to announce the second annual memorial lecture, which will take place on Friday, April 12 in Abuja,โ according to a statement signed on behalf of the foundation by its Executive Director, Gad Peter.
โBishop Kukah, in this lecture, will focus on the power of one man โ Innocent Chukwuma โ and how he made a difference, impacted his world and left an enduring legacy.
โThe title of this second lecture underscores the significance of individual agency in shaping our collective future. The lecture series is dedicated to the memory of Innocent Chukwuma, the human rights advocate, intellectual, and visionary leader, who left an indelible mark on our society. โHis tireless efforts in the pursuit of social justice, good governance, gender equity, and empowerment of the marginalized continue to inspire generations.โ
It added: โAs we gather to commemorate his impactful life and legacy, we reflect on the power of one individual to effect positive change and touch the lives of so many people across the world. The memorial lecture is open to the public, and we encourage all those who share in the vision of a more just and equitable society to join us in honouring the memory of Innocent Chukwuemeka Chukwuma and advancing his legacy.
โCLEEN Foundation and ICCEF are excited to host this second edition memorial lecture with an inspiring theme. We are happy to partner with three financial institutions: GT Bank, Afrinvest, and Zenith Bank, which share the vision and mission of both CLEEN and ICCEF.
โWe believe that everyone has the potential to create positive change in their lives and communities, and we hope that this event will empower individuals, communities, and society at large to pursue their dreams and make an impact, just as Innocent did.โ
