A man suffering from osteoporosis, diabetes, and a broken thigh bone, Adeloye Sunday Oluwatoyin, has called for financial assistance to undergo two life-saving surgeries estimated at N11 million.
Oluwatoyin’s health challenges began in 2014 when he started experiencing discomfort in his left leg. After seeking medical attention at various general hospitals, including Ikorodu, Ifako Ijaiye, and Ikeja, he was diagnosed with osteoporosis and received treatment.
In 2021, he was again diagnosed with osteoporosis at Ifako Ijaiye General Hospital, where he was advised to raise N3.5 million for surgery. However, he could not afford the cost, and his condition deteriorated further.
In 2023, Oluwatoyin collapsed in his room and was rushed to the same hospital, where he was diagnosed with high blood pressure, diabetes, and osteoporosis.
The situation worsened on December 17, 2024, when he fell in his room and broke his thigh bone. After being bedridden for months, he was referred to the Orthopaedic Hospital in Yaba. Doctors there recommended two separate surgeries to treat his broken thigh bone and address the effects of osteoporosis.
Initially, the surgeries were estimated to cost N9 million but have since risen to N11 million, an amount beyond Oluwatoyin’s reach. He has appealed to the public for assistance to raise the funds needed for the surgeries.
Donations can be made to his Ecobank account: Account Name: Adeloye Sunday Oluwatoyin; Account Number: 4422095331. He can also be reached on +234 811 451 8194.
