Marcus Rashford has hit back at claims he has held talks with another agency in a bid to secure a January transfer away from Manchester United.
The England forward took to Instagram to deny the report, stating: “Been a lot of false stories written over past few weeks, but guys this is getting ridiculous – never met with any agency and don’t have any plans to do so…”
Rashford had previously hinted at being open to a new challenge, saying in a pre-Christmas interview: “For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps.
“When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person.”
He also expressed his desire to leave on good terms, adding: “If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse. I’e seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.”

Despite United’s struggles to claw their way back into the match following two early setbacks, Amorim snubbed Rashford, opting not to play him.
In the post-match grilling, the gaffer refuted claims that his decision to bench Rashford was a tactical jibe, saying, “I think about the team, you think a lot about Marcus. I think about the team.
“I am not making a point, I just want to win the games. And you can feel it, I am talking about the idea and the fight for relegation. I want to make a point during the game? No, I just want to win the game.”
