Authority of McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State, has set Wednesday July 31st 2024 for the inaugural induction ceremony of her first set of Nursing Graduates into the Nursing Profession.
The event billed for the University’s Multipurpose Hall is expected to attract relevant stakeholders in the education sector, friends of the University from all walks of life, and the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
A statement made available to Daily Independent by Sanmi Enigbokan, Deputy Registrar, Information and Public Relations, stated that Dr. Dorothy Odetola of the Department of Community Health Nursing, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, will deliver a paper titled: “Advancing Frontiers In Nursing Education And Practice: Effect of Japa Syndrome On Sub-Saharan Africa”.
Meanwhile, the Registrar, Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria, Alhaji(Dr.) Faruk Abubakar, is expected to grace this momentous occasion, where the fresh graduates will be inducted into the much-sought Nursing Profession as Registered Nurses(RN).
The statement read in parts, “It is on record that the University’s first set of nursing graduates came out with flying colours in the Nursing Council Examination held recently, which is an attestation of her commitment to building a new generation of nurses that would impact positively the global community.
“The University Management welcomes all invited guests, members of staff and students, as it celebrates this milestone,” the statement added.
