Sola Ajose, the South West Regional Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), has spoken out to refute allegations that he was responsible for the unlawful detention of Mr. Oladapo Oyelakin and his wife, Kafayat, a medical personnel.

The allegation had earlier been debunked by some close allies of the cleric, who asserted that the claims were false and intended to tarnish his reputation.

Following accusations that he was behind the couple’s detention, Ajose’s media aide, Samuel Akinyemi, released a statement to set the record straight.

The statement revealed that the couple is currently being held at Kirikiri and Ikoyi prisons, respectively, due to their inability to meet their bail conditions.

According to the statement, the couple is facing charges under the criminal law of Lagos State, 2015.

“Oladapo Oyelakin is accused of falsely presenting himself as a qualified medical doctor and inflicting wounds on Sola Ajose through the administration of injections. Following an investigation by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Mr. Oyelakin admitted to being a laboratory officer with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Microbiology from the Ibadan Polytechnic, obtained in 2005.

“He was, however, apprehended by the police, after evading initial questioning. His wife, Kafayat Oyelakin, is implicated as an accessory after the fact, allegedly concealing the truth about her husband’s qualifications. Both parties are currently involved in ongoing legal proceedings before the Magistrates’ Court of Lagos State,” the statement read.

Oyelakin was arrested after evading initial questioning.

His wife, Kafayat, is implicated as an accessory after the fact, allegedly concealing the truth about her husband’s qualifications. Both parties are currently involved in an ongoing legal proceedings before the Magistrates’ Court of Lagos State.

The statement emphasised Ajose’s commitment to justice, fairness, and integrity, urging the public to disregard the misleading information being circulated. It highlighted that the allegations were designed to undermine Ajose’s long-standing reputation.

The statement reaffirmed Ajose’s dedication to the teachings of Jesus Christ and his adherence to the principles of justice and equity.

The public is advised to follow official communications from the court and relevant authorities for further updates on the case.
