The second edition of the football competition initiated by the Senate Leader and senator representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District, Michael Opeyemi Bamidele will kick off on Saturday.
Tagged MOB Unity cup, the opening ceremonies will be done at the popular Christ School playing ground in Ado Ekiti by 2pm on Sunday.
The chairman media committee of the championship Mr Toyin Ayoola stated that a total of fifty three teams made up of 43 male and 10 female football teams are taking part in the championship.
The draws for the competition held at the Constituency office of Senator Opeyemi Bamidele shows that preliminary matches will be played in all the five local government councils in the constituency.
The opening match holding the Christ School playing ground will see Eleven Lions of Ado lock horns with Harmony football club also of Ado Ekiti.
Other matches coming up on the second day of the championship at the Ado center will have De-Light Fc take on Christ Followers at Christ School playing ground at 1pm while Zion FC will battle White Horse FC at the same venue at 3pm.
Group B matches taking place at Ado Grammar School will see New Ball Warriors lock horns with Arewa FC while DFK will battle Golden FC
The five local government councils taking part in the championship are Ado, Irepodun Ifelodun, Ekiti West, Efon and Ijero.
The MOB UNITY CUP is sponsored by Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele as part of his efforts to promote grassroots sports in Ekiti State.
