A widespread power outage has impacted several states within the franchise area of Jos Electricity Distribution Company, following a loss of supply from the national grid.
The JEDC franchise states include Gombe, Bauchi, Benue, and Plateau.
According to the Head of Corporate Communications, Dr Friday Elijah, the outage occurred at approximately 11:28 am on Thursday.
Dr Elijah disclosed this in a press statement obtained by our correspondent in Gombe.
โThe loss of power supply from the national grid has resulted in the shutdown of all our feeders,โ Dr Elijah explained. โWe understand the inconvenience this has caused our valued customers and assure them that we are working diligently to restore normal power supply as soon as possible.โ
Elijah appealed for patience and understanding from affected customers, stating, โWe appreciate our customersโ continued trust in our services and are committed to providing reliable power supply.โ
He assured that the company is working to restore power as soon as the national grid returns to normal.
โWe will continue to update our customers on the progress of restoration efforts,โ Elijah added.
