ABUJA – Abuja-based business mogul and philanthropist, Dr. Christopher Ndubuisi (Ikenga Umuawulu), has donated sets of laptop computers to selected schools in Anambra State.

The laptop computers were presented to over 50 senior prefects of some selected secondary schools in the state.

Speaking during the presentation at Pinnatech Hotel and Suites in Awka, Chief Ndubuisi emphasized the importance of equipping students with the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools to enable them acquire the skills at an early stage.

In a statement sent to Daily Independent, the philanthropist said, “Technology is the way of the world now. I don’t think there is any field where anyone wants to be successful without technology. Whether in medicine, law, engineering, or communications, there is a need to be tech-savvy in order to achieve success.”

He further explained that the aim of the initiative was to “catch them young” at this level, and equally pointed out that as the senior prefects, they are the leaders in their respective schools.

Chief Ndubuisi maintained that once the student leaders embraced the vision, ” t will be easier to pass it down to other students”.

Chief Ndubuisi also mentioned that other schools not included in the pilot project will be captured in subsequent exercises.

Recall that earlier this year, Chief Ndubuisi facilitated an ICT training program for selected Anambra youth in Awka and presented over 80 laptops to them.
