Mark broke the world record twice in her debut at La Chapelle Arena on September 6. Her final regular lift of 147kg set a new record, which she then surpassed moments later with a 150kg Power Lift, securing herself the gold medal.
The 23-year-old triumphed over China’s Cui Jianjin, who took silver with 140kg, and Mexico’s Amelia Perez, who won bronze with 130kg.
