LAGOS – The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) is set to further boost flight services in Nigeria with the launch of a new publication, Aeronautical Meteorological Bulletin in Abuja.
A statement by NiMet, said that the bulletin, which is essential for flight planning and operations, would help airlines, pilots, air traffic controllers and ground services to anticipate and manage weather-related challenges.
The statement hinted that Prof. Charles Anosike, the Director-General, NiMet presented the bulletin to Mr. Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development in his office in Abuja.
NiMet said that the aerometeorological bulletin covers areas like weather warnings and alerts, aerodrome weather reports, flight route forecasts, aviation-specific meteorological conditions, temperature and wind information and impact of weather on operations.
