Governor of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN Diaspora, Ambassador Collins Osazee Idahosa has approved the appointment of Hon Abdulhayyi Aliyu Musa as Director of Media for the NYCN Diaspora, urging him to lead the media and communication strategy of the Council through robust representation and advocacy for Nigeria youths in the diaspora.
In a statement he personally signed, Ambassador Idahosa disclosed that the appointment, which takes immediate effect, comes with enormous responsibilities geared towards managing the Council’s public image and collaborating with relevant agencies to ensure ‘’our objectives regarding youth empowerment and global visibility are effectively communicated.
‘’We are confident that your experience and leadership qualities will contribute significantly to the success of our mission just as we look forward to your dedicated service as we collectively strive to elevate the Nigerian youth on the global stage’’, the statement added.
Hon Abdulhayyi Aliyu Musa is a Nigerian national of Ebira heritage, from Kogi State. He has been based in Türkiye for the past 17 years, where he has pursued his education and a robust professional career in the media. He completed his secondary education, undergraduate studies, and master’s degree in Türkiye. He holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Journalism, Television, and Cinema, reflecting a strong academic foundation in media and visual storytelling. He speaks and communicate effectively in five languages including English, Turkish, Ebira, Hausa and Arabic, a skill that underpins his work in international media, cross-cultural communication, and global engagements.
Abdulhayyi Aliyu Musa is a multimedia journalist and producer at Türkiye’s highest-ranked international media house, where he works across multiple platforms and formats. His journalism focuses on accurate representation, global perspectives, and storytelling that bridges cultures. Beyond journalism, he is also an active foreign trader, conducting transnational business between Türkiye, Nigeria, and other countries, with experience in cross-border commerce and international markets. He is one of the founding partners of the African Student Union of Gaziantep (ASUG), an organisation established to support African students academically, socially, and culturally, while also facilitating their integration into Turkish society.
Abdulhayyi is an experienced Master of Ceremonies, having hosted several international forums, conferences, and symposiums. His role often involves moderating high-level discussions and engaging diverse global audiences. Through journalism, public engagement, and community leadership, Abdulhayyi strives to promote and represent Nigerians in a positive light in Türkiye and on the global stage, with a focus on credibility, professionalism, and cross-cultural understanding.
