The newly installed Obalodo of Oye kingdom, Bamitale Oguntoyinbo has advocated improved funding for the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in order for it to carry out its primary responsibilities.
The community leader urged that the State and the Federal government can jointly fund the agency to achieve the desired results.
Obalodo made this call when the Director General of NOA, Malam Lanre Yisa Onilu paid him a visit in Oye-Ekiti.
Represented by NOA Director Ekiti State ,Mrs. Kemi Akomolede ,Obalodo argued that c- funding NOA will go a long way in promoting and preserving the nation’s democracy.
Oguntoyinbo, also former Director of the agency in Ekiti state explained that NOA serves as the bridge between the rural people and the government.
He said government must have feedback from the people about government policies and programmes.
He posited that government needs feedback mechanisms to be able to provide essential services for the people.
He described the the state director and his management team as creams of intelligent, capable, and hard working officers who will lead the agency to a greater high in Ekiti state and the nation at large.
Chief Oguntoyinbo promised to make his doors open to any assistance the agency might need in the areas of mobilisation and orientation of the local community to support the government
.Earlier in her speech, the director congratulated Chief Oguntoyinbo and pray God to give him the wisdom and knowledge to achieve better in this new community assignment better than places he has previously served the government and his people.
