Veteran actress, Patience Ozokwo, popularly known as Mama G, recently shared a video of her meeting with former First Lady of Nigeria, Patience Jonathan.
The video, posted on her Instagram page on Sunday, captured the moment Ozokwo kneeled to greet Jonathan as she approached her, after which the two women embraced each other warmly.
The act has sparked mixed reactions from netizens, as some have cited the age difference between the women.
Commenting on her post, #isi_lisa wrote, “But mama G senior this woman well well na. Mama G is 66; former First Lady is 58.”
However, some others defended Ozokwo’s act, emphasizing the importance of showing respect.
“She is just giving her honour,” #lenycute01 replied, while #gochy_glam added, “She was once a First Lady, isn’t that enough?”
#lumiwizzo also praised Jonathan’s humility, noting, “What a humble first lady she returned the respect to you by standing up to receive you.”
In her caption, Ozokwo stated how she loved Jonathan. “Dame Patience Jonathan. You are loved. Thank you,” she wrote.
