Brazilian football icon Marcelo has announced his retirement from professional football, bringing an end to a storied career filled with success and accolades.
The 36-year-old defender spent 16 remarkable seasons with Real Madrid, where he won 25 titles, including five Champions League.
Marcelo’s illustrious career also saw him return to his boyhood club Fluminusense, where he won a Copa Libertadores title.
