Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) Plc, has increased the number of its clientele with the addition of Neos Airlines, a flag carrier from Italy.
A statement by Mrs. Vanessa Uansohia, the Head, Corporate Communications, SAHCO, said that the partnership between the two companies commenced from October 30, 2024.
Neos Airlines had last week commenced scheduled flight services into the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos from its base at the Milan Malpensa Airport in Italy.
For a start, the airline would be flying into Nigeria once weekly, but would increase it to thrice frequencies weekly in the coming weeks with plans to go daily in the future.
Uansohia said that under the new agreement, SAHCO would be providing full ground handling services for NeosAir, which include ramp, passenger, baggage, cargo handlings, aircraft cleaning, and more.
She reiterated that SAHCO’s experienced team and its state-of-the-art equipment are fully prepared to meet the unique needs of the Italian operations, ensuring seamless and efficient turnarounds at the Lagos airport.
Commenting on the issue, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, Chairman, SAHCO, expressed delight with the agreement.

Afolabi also went on to emphasise that SAHCO is an IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) and Regulated Agent Third (RA3) country certified, which meant that the company had the certification to handle all Europe bound cargo and could accept shipments from Europe as well.
Also, the statement pointed out that SAHCO has a proven track record of providing top-tier ground handling services to major airlines operating in Nigeria, stressing that the company is known for its dedication to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
With the addition of NeosAir to its growing list of clients, SAHCO has continued to strengthen its position as a leading ground handling service provider in the region.
NeosAir is a private Italian airline whose headquarters is in Somma Lombardo, Lombardy, Italy and is a subsidiary of Alpitour S.p.A.
