The Adamawa State Police Command has uncovered a startling case of family betrayal following the arrest of a 28-year-old man for allegedly masterminding the kidnapping of his own father in the Fufore Local Government Area.
The incident has garnered significant attention due to its personal nature and the swift intervention by local authorities.
Alhaji Ahmadu was abducted on January 30, 2026. Following a coordinated intelligence-led raid today at a hideout in Jera village, the suspects were apprehended.
The Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, stated that the operation was a joint effort between police operatives and members of the Miyetti-Allah security group.
”More worrisome, one of the suspects happened to be the biological son of the victim. All three suspects confessed to their involvement in the crime.” — Official Police Statement.
While the primary planners are in custody, the police are still working to ensure the safe rescue of the victim and to track down other members of the criminal syndicate.
The Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, has reassured the public that the command remains committed to protecting lives and property and urged residents to continue sharing timely information.
