The planet’s population is 7.5 billion and growing every year. By 2050, it’s estimated there’ll be close to 10-billion people on Earth. This ‘people boom’ will be dominated by one continent: Africa. It’s population recently crossed the 1.5-billion mark. In less than three decades, the US will be overtaken by Nigeria, which will become the world’s third-most-populated country behind China and India. Projections indicate that by the middle of the 21st century, 4-billion people will live in Africa, making up close to 40% of the world’s population.
