President Bola Tinubu has sent the name of Feyisinmi Ibiyemi as Resident Electoral Commissioner to the Senate for approval.
He also sent the names of two federal commissioners; Tukur AbdulRazak (North-West) and Prof Sunday Ajah (South-East )
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, read the President’s correspondence during Tuesday’s plenary session.
The request has been referred to the Committee on the Independent National Electoral Commission, which is expected to review the nominations and report back promptly.
