Transcorp Hotels Plc, the hospitality subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc, has reported a robust financial performance for the first half of 2025, posting a 60% year-on-year (YoY) revenue growth and a 71% increase in gross profit compared to the same period in 2024.
The company announced these results in its unaudited financial statement for the period ended June 30, 2025, highlighting a significant revenue jump from ₦29.72 billion in H1 2024 to ₦47.57 billion in H1 2025.
Gross profit for the period surged to ₦36.21 billion, up from ₦21.19 billion recorded in the first half of 2024. This translated to a gross profit margin of 76%, a notable achievement given Nigeria’s current inflationary and cost-intensive business climate.
In a move to reward shareholders, the company approved an interim dividend payout of ₦1.024 billion, representing ₦0.10 per share for every 50 kobo ordinary share, subject to applicable withholding tax.
One of the major milestones achieved by the company in the review period was the commissioning of its new 5,000-seat capacity Transcorp Centre. Described as Nigeria’s largest corporate event venue, the centre is seen as a strategic investment aimed at expanding revenue streams and consolidating Transcorp Hotels’ leadership in the hospitality and event management space.
Chairman of Transcorp Hotels Plc, Mr. Emmanuel Nnorom, attributed the impressive performance to the company’s ongoing transformation efforts. He said, *“Transcorp Hotels’ outstanding performance in the first half of 2025 further validates our transformative strategies, with a laser focus on innovation and operational efficiency. It affirms our steadfast dedication to delivering investor returns and signals our profound confidence in Transcorp Hotels’ future growth.”*
Also speaking on the results, the Managing Director and CEO, Mrs. Uzo Oshogwe, said the strong numbers reflect the execution of a deliberate growth agenda. According to her, “These results reflect the resilience of our business model and the dedication of our team. Building on the foundation of our iconic assets, the Transcorp Hilton Abuja and the new Transcorp Centre, we are not just leading Nigeria’s hospitality sector, but redefining excellence across Africa.”
The company said its performance demonstrates not only its ability to navigate Nigeria’s volatile economic environment, but also its ambition to shape the future of hospitality in Africa through consistent innovation, operational excellence, and stakeholder value creation.
Transcorp Hotels Plc is known for managing the flagship Transcorp Hilton Abuja and operating Aura by Transcorp Hotels, a digital hospitality platform. It is part of the Transcorp Group, one of Nigeria’s leading conglomerates with interests spanning power, energy, and hospitality.
With this H1 2025 performance, industry analysts say Transcorp Hotels is positioning itself for continued dominance and profitability in the hospitality sector, even amid economic headwinds.
