🚨 Victor Osimhen’s Nigeria could still get a WILD CARD ENTRY to the 2026 FIFA World Cup! 🇳🇬😱🤯🤯⬇️
Just one month ago, DR Congo ended Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup dream after knocking the Super Eagles out of the Intercontinental Playoffs. 🥲
But now, Nigeria may still have a chance to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup as DR Congo is facing a probe over the alleged use of INELIGIBLE PLAYERS. 👀😳
The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed, through its General Secretary, that it has officially SUBMITTED a formal PETITION to FIFA concerning DR Congo’s alleged fielding of INELIGIBLE PLAYERS during the African World Cup Playoffs.
The investigation is believed to focus on up to NINE DR CONGO PLAYERS who allegedly switched national allegiance without fully complying with both Congolese nationality laws and FIFA statutes.
DR Congo has since responded strongly to Nigeria’s petition, saying:
🗣️ “If you cannot win on the pitch, do not try to win from the back door. The World Cup should be played with dignity and confidence, not with legal tricks.”
At the moment, the chances of DR Congo being eliminated appear slim. However, the final decision rests entirely with FIFA.
If FIFA rules against DR Congo and decides to disqualify them, Nigeria could potentially take their spot in the Intercontinental Final and revive their World Cup HOPES! 🤯
