Defending champions, Nigeria, will face Cameroon in the quarter-finals of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca on Sunday.
The match is scheduled for 6pm local time (5pm GMT).
It will determine one of the semi-finalists and an automatic qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.

The encounter will be the 14th meeting between Cameroon and Nigeria at the WAFCON finals, making it the most-played fixture in the history of the competition.
Nigeria have dominated the previous 13 meetings, winning nine in regulation time and two on penalties.
Cameroon have recorded one victory, while one match ended in a draw without a penalty shoot-out.
The teams have met at every stage of the competition, including the group stage, quarter-finals, semi-finals, third-place play-off and final.
Their only previous quarter-final meeting came in 2022, when Nigeria won 1-0 through Rasheedat Ajibade’s 56th-minute goal.
Nigeria have also won all three WAFCON finals contested against Cameroon, defeating them 5-0 in 2004, 2-0 in 2014 and 1-0 in 2016.
Cameroon’s only WAFCON victory over the Super Falcons came in the 2012 third-place play-off, when they won 1-0.
Nigeria have scored nine goals at the current tournament, while Cameroon have scored four.
The Super Falcons, however, have conceded five goals, their highest tally at a single WAFCON edition.

The Super Falcons have an unbeaten record at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium, where they won four and drew one of their five matches at the previous edition.
Nigeria are seeking a record-extending 10th appearance at the FIFA Women’s World Cup. They have featured at every edition of the global tournament since its inaugural edition in 1991.
The defending champions are also targeting a 14th WAFCON semi-final appearance and have reached the knockout stages at all 14 centralised editions of the competition.
Nigeria have won both of their previous WAFCON quarter-finals, beating Cameroon 1-0 in 2022 and Zambia 5-0 at the previous edition.
They are yet to concede a goal in a WAFCON quarter-final, having scored six without reply.
Cameroon team information
Cameroon have played all three of their matches at the current tournament in Casablanca, winning 2-1 against Mali and drawing 1-1 with Cabo Verde at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium.
They are seeking their third appearance at the FIFA Women’s World Cup, having previously featured in 2015 and 2019.
They have reached the knockout rounds in 12 of their 13 appearances at the centralised WAFCON finals, with their only group-stage elimination coming in 2000.
Cameroon’s only defeat in their last 12 WAFCON matches in regulation time was the 1-0 loss to Nigeria in the 2022 quarter-finals.
A victory would send Cameroon into their 11th WAFCON semi-final.
The winner of Sunday’s encounter will advance to the semi-finals and secure automatic qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
