DAMATURU – Governor Mala Buni of Yobe State has extended a helping hand to the families of vigilantes who lost their lives or were injured in the counter-insurgency operations in the state. In a gesture aimed at boosting morale and providing succor, the governor provided financial assistance to the affected families .
The Director of Special Services, Muhammad Alh Baba, handed over cash support of 500,000 Naira each to the families of the deceased and 200,000 Naira each to those injured in the line of duty. This act of kindness is part of the state government’s efforts to support those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the fight against insurgency

Barma Ngoma, a father to one of the deceased vigilantes, expressed gratitude on behalf of the beneficiaries to the Yobe State government for standing by them in their time of need. He pledged that the families would reciprocate by cooperating and supporting Governor Buni’s administration in achieving its goals of combating crime in the state.


This move by the Yobe State government is a timely reminder of its commitment to the welfare of its citizens, particularly those who have been affected by the ongoing insurgency in the region. Similar gestures have been made in the past, including a recent cash support distribution to the families of victims of an insurgent attack in Mafa community, Tarmuwa local government area.
