A woman, Halfina Eddy-Evans, revealed how she accidentally threw away £569 million by discarding an old hard drive containing 8,000 bitcoins, mined by her ex, James Howells, in 2009. The hard drive, unknowingly tossed at a Welsh tip, is now the focus of a legal battle as Howells fights for permission to search the landfill. Though they’ve since split, Halfina says she hopes he finds it, not for the money, but to end his constant complaints.
