ABUJA  – The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), in partnership with Afreximbank and other strategic partners, is hosting the inaugural Farm, Food, and Allied Technologies Expo 2024 in Abuja. 

The event aims to showcase innovations in agro-mechanisation and food processing while promoting strategic partnerships within the agriculture sector. 

According to ACCI’s Media/Strategy Officer, Olayemi John-Mensah, the Expo will present cutting-edge technologies intended to transform agricultural practices in Nigeria and beyond. 

ACCI President Emeka Obegolu praised the collaboration with Autodex Nigeria Ltd, Afreximbank, and Henan Qianli Machinery Co Ltd in organizing this significant event. He reaffirmed the chamber’s dedication to initiatives that strengthen Nigeria’s economy, stating, “The ACCI, as a leading Chamber of Commerce, is fully committed to supporting initiatives that enhance Nigeria’s economic landscape.” 

Obegolu emphasized the Expo’s potential to create valuable opportunities for stakeholders in the agricultural value chain, stating, “The expo will offer a platform for stakeholders eager to explore collaborative opportunities to boost the agricultural value chain and improve financing models for this vital sector.” 

A highlight of the Expo will be a keynote address by Prof. Benedict Okey Oramah, President of Afreximbank, who will discuss “Agricultural Financing and Its Value Chain in Nigeria and Africa.” His insights will focus on optimizing agricultural financing from farm to fork. 

The Expo will attract a diverse audience, including government officials, agricultural machinery manufacturers, food processing companies, agribusiness entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, academics, and farmers. 

It promises to be a hub for networking and collaboration, offering opportunities for technology transfer, market access, and capacity development. In addition to keynote speeches, the Expo will feature hands-on workshops and B2B networking sessions tackling industry-specific challenges and opportunities, allowing participants to connect with peers and foster partnerships and knowledge exchange.
