Another aviation book: ‘Nigeria’s Aviation Sector: People, Behaviours Behind The Performances,’ is set for launch on July 4, 2024 at the Golfview Hotels, Ikeja, Lagos.
The book is coming barely 18 months after the launch of Nigeria’s Aviation Industry: The Lingering Expectations,’ which was co-authored by Olusegun Koiki and Chinedu Eze.
A statement by Mrs. Okiemute Chiedu, Project Coordinator, Aviation Monitor, said that the book is authored by Albinus Chiedu, a journalist from Aviation Monitor.
According to the statement, Mr. Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, is expected to be the Special Guest of Honour at the event, while several key stakeholders in Nigeria’s aviation industry are also to grace the public presentation.
Expected Guests of Honour include, Capt. Chris Najomo, the Acting Director- General, Civil Aviation, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, the Managing Director, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and Engr. Farouk Umar, the Managing Director, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).
Others are Prof. Charles Anosike, the Director-General, Nigeria Meteorological Agency (NiMet), Mrs. Adenike Aboderin, Managing Director, Skyway Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) Plc, and Mr. Indira Gupta, Managing Director, Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) Plc, amongst other dignitaries.
Besides, Dr. Allen Onyema, the Chairman of Air Peace and Dr. Gbenga Olowo, the Chairman of Interguide Group, are also expected to grace the book launch.
The book is to be reviewed by Dr. Richard Aisuebeogun, former Managing Director, FAAN.

The statement added: “The 11-chapter book is a product of comprehensive research, featuring from a historical perspective, an advocacy for the right behaviours and conduct of individuals in both the public and private segments of Nigeria’s aviation industry, exposing the dangers posed by wrong decisions and actions on the next generation of aviation stakeholders in the country.”
